Africplaza SA .Plantations Limited was floated in June 1993 and started operations in November of the same year. Its structure had been in place and had been doing business under the name Afriplaza du Cameroon Limited, which was a subsidiary of the giant multinational company, Unilever. The present company came into existence through a debt equity swap when the Unilever subsidiary was under liquidation.

Africplaza SA. is an agro-industrial business which has as its principal objective, the: growing of oil palm trees and supplying good quality red palm oil in Cameroon and abroad. It is also engaged in the production of rubber cup lumps,Rd Beens,Irish Potato and laundry soap ext. Its oil palm trees and rubber are grown in three (3) extensive estates located in the South West and western Region of Cameroon.
