Akteks Acrylic Yarn Industry and Trade Inc. started producing acrylic carpet yarn in 1984 in the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, with a capacity of 1,600 tons/year, a closed area of 3,000 sqm, and 160 employees. A Leader in Investment and Export In 1992, Akteks moved from carpet yarn manufacturing to knitting yarn manufacturing, putting more emphasis on the production of wool and synthetic mixtures and fancy yarn in the knitting industry. With its investments in 1996, the company continued its operations in the carpet industry in two fields, one being the BCF carpet yarn and the other knitting yarn.
