the HIKMET ATAMAN AND PARTNER CONSTRUCTION COMPANY was founded in 1962 as a partnership between Hikmet Ataman and Huseyin Calik. It has reached its present-day status as ATAC CONSTRUCTION AND INDUSTRY INC. with changes of name in 1966 and 1991. Over the years the company has gained expertise in the fields of water installations and irrigation thus settings its seal on many important projects in this country. In addition to its main area of activity, ATAC has made various new investment in the textile, agriculture, communication and tourism sectors. Following its first association with the Kepez Flour Factory in 1974, ATAC moved to textiles in 1986 creating the Anteks Spinnig Mill. On the tourism front the Kislahan Hotel was opened in 1987. Club Phaselis became a subsidiary of ATAC IN 1998 expanding ATAC`s interest in the tourism industry. ATAC began investment in the Anteks Weaving Plant in 1991, completed in 1992 and in that same year planning began for the Textile Finishing Factory and production commenced in 1993. The Anteks Shirt Manufacturing Plant opened in 1996, followed by ATAC Computer Services in 1997 and Atac Agricultural Service in 1998. Eltes Construction and Installation joined ATAC in 1998 followed by the Antalya College in 1999. The year 2000 saw the continuation of Atac`s progress with the emergence of Doruknet and the start up of Kemer Resort Hotel`s construction. Since it`s inception, the company, which took the name of ATAC INC. in 1991, has secured steady growth with its investments and associations. ATAC INC. is determined to continue this service in the years to come with various new investments in the industrial and tourism fields.
