Baoding Tianwei Baobian Electric Co., Ltd.(BTW), originated from Baoding Transformer Works founded in 1958, is one of the largest manufacturers for power transformers and modernized high technology power equipment. Products cover transformers, CT and reactors applied on power generation, transmission and distribution systems, ranging from 10kV to 1200kV, with maximum product capacity 1500MVA. Its 1000MVA,1000kV single phase auto transformer in China’s first 1000kV transmission line, has been in operation successfully since end of 2008. BTW is located in Baoding City, Hebei province, where shares the border with Beijing, next to coastal city Tianjin and near the capital of Hebei Shijiazhuang, seating in the focus of triangle district of “Jing-Jin-Shi”, with convenient transportation and shipping and air transportation of great advantage, leading a Baoding-based and nationally-distributed industry layout. BTW has set up multiple transformer factories near the harbor of Qinhuangdao, in Hefei and Kunming etc. total production capacity up to 160,000,MVA per year. BTW has created lots of records for pilot projects with “No. 1” in the development history of transformers, such as the first 1000MVA/1000kV ultra-high voltage transformer, the first 720MVA/500kV three phase transformer, the first 400MVA/500kV nuclear station transformer and the first 1140MVA/525kV three phase GSU transformer matching with 1000MW supercritical power generation units. BTW has been listed in national major manufacturers for equipment applied on thermal power unit and hydraulic power unit of 1000MW or below level and key equipment for 765kV or below level substations and acts as a main supplier of generation transformer for domestic nuclear power company. From 1990, more than 450 products have been exported to over 40 countries, supported by the overseas Regional Operations, which builds up strong worldwide sales and nearby service network. BTW has got Quality Management System Certificate of GB/T19001-IS09001, Environment Management Certificate of GB/T24001-IS014001, Occupational Health Safety Management Certificate of GB/T28001-OHSAS18001:2007.
