Broderi Narin was the first to invest in the embroidery sector; now under the management of the third generation, it passes on its 81-year-old accumulation of knowledge to the future. Established by Hamdi Narin in 1923, Broderi Narin was awarded its first achievement in 1928 with a Gold Medal won at the Paris Exposition International Fair.It was the first time a Turkish company participated in the fair.It won the prestigious gold medal, surpassing all other selective international rivals. However,it was in the 1960’s,with the insight of Necdet Narin and his brother Nusret Narin-the second generation-that the company took major steps forward, including changing the name to what it’s known today as Broderi Narin Embroidered Fabric Indus. Co.Necdet Narin convinced his family to put all their equity into the hands of the bank in order to buy new land, construct the production side in Güngören and invest in technology. He later said that throughout all the decisions he had to made for this company, that that one was definitely the most difficult.Necdet Narin traveled to Germany and purchased the first automative embroidery mashines with a punch card system in Turkey. Thus the first embroidery and guipure factory was established in Güngören. Broderi Narin continued to lead, expand and began its first export to Central Asia in the 1970s.It was the first time that the guipure base processing system was developed by Necdet Narin. Also voile tulle was used as an embroidery base for the first time. This development was responsible for the dynamic boom of the company, which resulted in the reputation it has as an innovative, quality company which last until present day. In the 1980s,under the guidance of the third generation, investments were made in weaving. In Bagcilar, both embroidery and weaving factories were established. Polyester texturized yarns were used in embroidery production, the four-row curtain system was created and the continuous processing system was used in embroidery technology. Broderi Narin expanded its area of activity first with a dying factory and then a yarn-twisting factory. The base fabric called 4220 with a natural look but manufactured in 100 % polyester yarn, was created and used as an embroidery base.
