Zomex Investment was set up in 2008 pursuing a goal to carry out the construction of the Minsk Lighthouse project. The construction commenced in the last quarter of 2009, while the accomplishment was scheduled for 2017. This megaproject will become the first one of its kind in Europe. Similar projects have only been accomplished in Las Vegas, Macao and Dubai.
