Halil Yilmaz Makina is a leading company with the services it provides in the fields of engineering-design, consultancy, supply, manufacture, assembly and commissioning - all required procedures to deliver turnkey industrial plants and factories, particularly in the lime and cement sectors. Halil Yilmaz, who established and gave his name to Halil Yilmaz Makina, was born in Kayseri in 1947. He graduated from the department of Mechanical Engineering at Yildiz Technical University in 1969. He established the Kayseri Lime Plant (known today as Erciyes Kirec) between 1972-1976 and served as the technical manager of the company. Having started his research and applications in lime kilns and the other units, Halil Yilmaz also became interested in the cement factories and technologies in those same years. He was the founder and general manager of Kirsehir Meytas Lime Plant between 1976-1982. He then joined the Nuh Cimento family of companies between the years 1982-1988 and was appointed Assistant General Manager of Nuh Cimento and the manager of Nuh Lime Plant. In the same years, he established and assumed a role in the operations of the ready-mix concrete batching plants that had recently come into use in Turkey. With Halil Yilmaz Makina, which he established in 1991, Halil Yilmaz became one of the referential names in the lime industry in Turkey. Behind the reason for establishment lies his belief that it is not necessary in the lime and cement industry to depend on foreign companies for machinery, installation and project designing.
