The Beijing-Washington agreement “benefits both sides and the world” when implemented properly says the Commerce Ministry of China.
China demanded from the US to remove sanctions and tariffs according to the local media outlets.
Beijing has made everything possible for the mutual implementation of the “phase-one economic and trade agreement with the US” since it was signed, Gao Feng, spokesperson for China’s Commerce Ministry, said during a news briefing reported by state-run news agency XNA.
Gao demanded from the US to “create a conducive atmosphere and sound conditions for the two sides to expand trade cooperation.”
The agreement between Beijing and Washington “benefits both sides and the world,” the spokesperson claimed.
The United States “promised to cancel some of the additional tariffs on Chinese goods,” when Beijing and Washington signed the agreement in January 2020 after about two years of negotiations XNA reported.
“The agreement ranges from expanding bilateral trade in such sectors as agricultural products, manufactured goods, energy, and service, further broadening market access, to enhancing the protection of intellectual property rights,” the report added.
