Sao Mai Super Feed’s Aquaculture Feed Factory was started in 2015, with production capacity of 420,000 metric tons per year, total investment capital of about 1,000 billion VND (approximately $43 million USD). Our factory has state-of-the-art design and technologies. In addition, all equipment is imported from famous European and US manufacturers. Our production process follows the “3H” standard (Healthy - High Quality – High Technology). Sao Mai Super Feed’s Aquaculture Feed Factory is equipped with 7 lines of production, each line’s output is 12 metric tons per hour. In addition, the raw material loading process is closed and fully automatic. In the 1st stage, the factory will produce feed for tilapia and pangasius following the TCVN 10300 - 2014 National standard. Sao Mai Super Feed has contributed to create a sustainable breakthrough for Vietnamese Pangasius Industry on the global market, because feed accounts for about 60-65% of the Pangasius value chain. This is an important highlight for the aquaculture farming industry, for almost 20 years, Pangasius has become a strategic product that plays an important role in Vietnam’s aquaculture export, from a local species that was mostly caught in natural environment. Currently, Pangasius has been exported to over 150 countries, farming quantity increases 50 times, exceeds 1 million metric tons per year, export value increases 65 times and accounts for 2% GDP of the whole country. Along with Black Tiger Shrimp, Pangasius is the essential item that is specially considered by the government. Therefore, Sao Mai Group was the first to invest in a closed value chain of Pangasius following the 3F model (Feed-Farm-Food) meaning the model includes feed factory, farm, processing plant and distribution to consumers.
