“BILEN” was established in Uskudar, Istanbul in 1954, as a modest muffler replacement service center. Bilen was the first supplier to the Turkish Automotive Industry for Military Jeeps, Chrysler Heavy Duty Trucks, Skoda Pickups and Tofas Automobile plants in the late 60’s. At the end of the decade, due to increase demand, the operations moved to higher output capacity facility in Istanbul-Kozyatagi. In order to strengthen capital structure as well as to develop for the future business opportunities, Bilen Incorporated in 1979. It has grown in step with the Turkish automotive industry. In 1988, the operations moved to a larger plant in Istanbul Dudullu Organized Industrial Zone to further increase output capacity. With the evolving automotive sector, expansion of operations accelerated in the next decades. Bilen started to become supplier of choice to many of the Tier one companies. The last few years brought ever increasing demand for our product from the export markets. In 2006, to provide customer service in design and development, Bilen became the first in the industry to form an R & D department and obtained the capability to design and test its products in house for the OEM and Aftermarket partners. With ever increasing production demand and need for additional plant space led to acquisition of new property and brand new facility in Duzce. Headquarters still remains in Istanbul, however all the technical and operation related activity has relocated new facility. Today, we are a highly recognized name in Turkey, Europe and North America as high quality, quick response, and value priced manufacturer of engine exhaust components and systems.
