Dear Sir. Position: Business Development & Marketing Consultant. Gulf Countries, Middle East, Africa, Indian Sub-Continent. I am a retired staff of the United Nations Children Fund [UNICEF]. As the UNICEF Gulf Area Coordinator I was responsible for Private Sector Fund-raising and Related Operations in the six Gulf Countries. I was responsible for Fund-raising and related Operations, Corporate Social Responsibility [ CSR ] Social and Commercial Marketing, Business Development, Contracts and Negotiations, Human Resources, Personnel, Volunteer Recruitment, Franchising, Leasing, Brand, Events and Project Management, Information and Communication, Media and External Relations. At the end of my retirement from UNICEF, I was retained as a Consultant for eighteen months to train UNICEF staff in the Gulf, Middle East and North Africa region in the following Career training Program Courses, Fund-raising, Corporate Social Responsibility, Information and Communication, Social and Commercial Marketing, External and Media relations, Finance and Budget applications, Emergency / Disaster Programme Management and Delivery, Brand, Franchise, Project and Event Management. I have attended and Organized several UNICEF Conferences and Work-Shops for the Staff in the Middle East and North African Countries on the following Topics-Fund-raising, Human Resources, Budget and Finance, Information & Communication, Social & Commercial Marketing, Silent & Loud Emergencies, Market Development, Volunteer Recruitment, Brand, Event and Project Management, Media, Public and External Relations. I I have had an opportunity to work with the International Advertising Agency, M/s J. Walter Thompson in India as a Model, Copy Writer and Media & Client Contact person for five years. From 1980-1981, I have also worked with the Egyptian Advertising Agency, Arab Advertising Agency in Bahrain as a Media Executive, responsible for Account Management and Client Campaigns. I bring an understanding of Gulf, African, Indian Sub-Continent and Middle Eastern culture and customs and the Local and International, trends and Markets. I have a Private Pilot License, for single Engine Planes, I have over 400 hours of Flying experience on three types of Aircrafts. I have traveled extensively in the six Gulf countries, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE and to the following countries on UNICEF assignments, Iraq, Jordan, Turkey, Cyprus, Tunisia, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Srilanka, Maldives, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Canada. Prior to UNICEF, I worked with the United States Information Service, and the American Consulate General in India, starting as General Services Assistant and resigning as the Chief of Procurement and Contracts to Work for UNICEF in Bahrain as Administration and Finance Officer and later transferred to the UNICEF Gulf Area Office, as the Fund-raising Gulf Coordinator in the six Gulf Countries.
