PT Bumi Blambangan Wangi started in trading business activities of Sticky Bark. The business started from the potential of Gemor wood which has a high level of viscosity (stickiness). The bark can be processed into sticky wood flour which is the basic material for several industrial products such as briquettes, incense, insect repellent, and others. This type of wood is not widely known by the public. so, we conduct research beforehand to ensure this commodity is available and can be harvested sustainably. The supply preparation research took one year, starting from looking for trees, conditioning smallholder farmers, to selecting trustworthy figures to become strategic partners as collectors from smallholder farmers as well as quality controllers.
