Mr. Suleyman Abbak took up beekeeping as a hobby in 1979, and turned into a professional beekeeper running 850 beehives in 1980. He started a company in 1983 and began to wholesale honey to domestic suppliers and to export to honey packaging facilities abroad in considerable quantities. This company moved to downtown Izmir in 1990 and erected a honey analysis laboratory. This company moved to Torbali borough of Izmir in 2001 and built a modern food processing factory covering an outdoor area of 12,000 m² and an indoor area of 4,850 m² i.e. total 16,850 m². Its annual bottling capacity is 12,000 tons. This company holds ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 22000:2005 quality certificates. We analyze honey since 1990 at our above mentioned in-house laboratory, and buy analysis services from Applica, an accredited laboratory, to ensure our products to meet the applicable international standards. In addition to wholesale and export honey, we created our own brand DOGARI in 2008 to expand to the retail market and to sell honey in jars. We aim to provide consumers with the most healthy honey products meeting the applicable standards, without making any concession.
