Ayka Textile was founded in 1988 as a ready-made garment manufacturer and exporter. To be able to produce textiles according to the developments in the textile sector and simultanuously to remain competitive on global markets, Ayka continuously realized investments and expanded to a verticaly integrated textile company. Our youngest investment – the Ayka Addis Group in Ethiopia – is a verticaly integrated subsidiary of our company. With the production in Africa we are able to keep up with competetive pricing and developments in the textile sector. Our choice of Ethiopia was also mainly influenced by the vision to contribute to the economic and social development of the region.
